Warm Fuzzies

I love spending time with my momma and pops. Too bad my brother wasn't here to spend Family Day with us this year, because we continued the tradition of going to Cora's Breakfast and Lunch today. Haha, I started the "tradition" a couple years ago. Third year in a row which I've forced us to go :)

Today, my dad gave me an envelope which we received in the mail. It was this small-ish card-size thing with the Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada logo and address on the top left corner. It was addressed to me and "UWCCF Frosh Cell 2010", so I knew automatically that it was probably an acknowledgement of our donation that we made last term. Well technically, I sent it in the cheque in January or something but WHATEVER. :) Anyway, I assumed it was like one of those mass printed thank-you cards or something. But I was really wrong. This is the message inside:

Zara,
Please pass along our deep appreciation to your fellowship group for the generous donations to the compassion ministries in our gift catalogue.
Our missionaries are so encouraged by your gifts that will enable them to demonstrate the love of Jesus through these practical ministries.

Blessings,
Joanne Beach
Director of Alliance Justice & Compassion

Now, I don't know if she handwrites a personal message to all the donors, but regardless, the card made me :'). It means so much to know that our $700 is actually impacting the world. A simple act of love on our behalf is making a difference for someone, somewhere.

Thank you, dear froshies. Thank you for your immense generosity and your loving hearts.
