Marriage Schmarriage

I spent some time with a good friend today, just talking and shopping. It's funny because we have come to get to know each other only recently but we get along just fine. And I like how we can talk about anything openly.

We got into a conversation about love - the relationship type of love, in fact. We agreed that love is a choice. You can choose to love anybody, and the emotions will follow suit. But I am still conflicted. I believe that God has chosen one person for you... but how are you supposed to know if that person is "the one"? I wish that God would just reveal to me point blank whether or not he's the one. Haha, only if life were that easy, eh? :)

I'm so thankful that God has brought me to Waterloo, because being at Waterloo has taught me so much. I don't think that my friends at other universities have gotten so much talk about dating, love and marriage. Although so much of this knowledge has been tough and overwhelming at times, I feel extremely blessed to have learned (most of) these lessons the easy way.

  4. There is no one perfect person for you. There isn't the one...unless God convicts you with that. Just look at Andy and Emily at church. I believe they got convicted by God to be together, but usually God wants us to just become godly men and women so that we could spur each other on. I don't think we're suppose to encourage only a single person.
